I bought this blue floral dress at Good Will for about $7. The top is a recent purchase from Macy’s. Spring is close so that means my closet is filling up with pastels. I really love how these two pieces look layered together! Don’t be fooled by these pictures. It’s still freezing here but I felt the need to photograph this outfit outside. Looks like we should be getting some 50 degree weather in the forecast after some snow tomorrow. Fingers crossed it keeps getting warmer from here on out.

Peter Pan Collar
What you’ll need:
- 1 sheet of felt in grey, red and white
- 1 yard of 5/8″ satin black ribbon
- grey thread
- pattern pieces (This link has the pattern pieces for both the sweater guard and the peter pan collar. I suggest saving image to your computer and printing image to fill page. Pattern piece D should be approximately 3″ x 3″ when printed)
1: Cut out felt pieces using pattern. Cut 2 (A) collar in grey, 2 small (C) hearts in red and 2 (B) medium hearts in white.
2: Layer red hearts over white hearts, pin in place on one collar piece and stitch a running stitch around each heart.
3. Cut two 18″ inch pieces of ribbon. Sew one piece to each rounded edge of collar pieces.
4. Stitch two pieces together in back.
I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday! Sorry for the blogging break. I’ve been super busy lately! I’m hoping to be able to post regularly again soon. I received a tripod today and had some fun trying it out.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect long sleeve dress with a collar and cuffs for years now. They were always too expensive or didn’t fit right. Seeing Moonrise Kingdom and Suzy Bishop’s perfect dress made me want one even more. A few weeks ago I decided to start my search again and found this beauty on Modcloth. I decided to treat myself and am so happy I did. This is how I wore it to the craft fair. I can’t wait to style it up differently. I wouldn’t mind having Suzy’s dress too though…

I found this vintage dress in a thrift shop in Brooklyn for $20 a few weeks ago. It’s wool, has a zipper down the front and a wonderful burgundy velvet peter pan collar and tie. The silhouette reminds me of some kind of uniform. I added a patent belt and flats, and my trusty black tights for a perfect dinner date outfit in this cool weather. I apologize for the quality of these photos (it was already dark outside)

I went to Wildwood this weekend as a little birthday getaway (my birthday is Wednesday!) and when I returned, Autumn had officially hit. Cold weather and changing leaves.
October is by far my favorite month and my birthday has a lot to do with that. I have lots of dinner plans scheduled to catch up and spend some time with friends. And I’m hoping to go pumpkin picking next weekend (fingers crossed)! It’s such a special time of year.

Over the weekend I went to Bulk Vintage, a vintage warehouse in Philadelphia. It was so wonderful! I spent 2 and a half hours digging through boxes and looking through racks. If you live near Philadelphia, I highly recommend it!
This skirt is very thick, perfect for the cooler weather! I tried it, it fit perfectly and I had to get it. In total, I bought 2 skirts, 2 tops, a cardigan, a jumper and a dress for about $70 (the skirt was $10). I think that’s pretty amazing for some great pieces. I just have to alter and mend a few things. I’m sure they will all be making appearances on the blog in the near future but there’s a sneak peak at the end of this post.

I shot these photos Friday evening, the day before the start of Autumn. It was cooler and I noticed leaves on the ground- it made me so happy. Of course the next day was 85 degrees… I guess summer wanted one more hot day.
This outfit reminds me of Halloween. Black cat print on my top and a pumpkin colored hat. I wore this out to dinner. Saturday was spent at some antique places and playing video games in Red Bank. Yesterday I was super productive! Switching out my summer clothes for fall, writing up blog posts and making collars (as well as dreaming up some new designs which I will hopefully make this week and have listed by next weekend).
